Nokia Recalls Batteries That Could Explode

Nokia has recalled its BL-5C model batteries manufactured by Japanese company Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. between December 2005 - November 2006, due to a risk of overheating and explosion. This is caused by a short circuit while charging, which causes the battery to dislodge. As many as 46 million devices with this battery have the potential to explode.
